Our firm specializes in the representation of public safety officers and associations in labor negotiations, internal affairs investigations, disciplinary appeals, administrative litigation, officer-involved shootings, workers compensation, employment litigation, and retirement.
The preferred candidate should have experience working in a law firm, but candidates with a strong administrative background are encouraged to apply.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide administrative support.
Must be able to prioritize assignments and handle challenging workload.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Organizing, updating and maintaining client records and maintain files
Coordinating appointments, speaking with clients and working with Medical offices
Assist with preparation of routine documents
Assist with correspondence to clients
Handling standard clerical duties including but not limited to answering incoming calls, copying, opening and routing mail, electronic and standard file management through Merus Legal document management system
Requirements
1- 2 years of experience in a law office is preferred
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with MS Office and Teams
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Professional demeanor and the ability to use initiative, diplomacy and tact
