Consumer Financial Services Litigation Associate

Brief Description Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is looking for an associate with at least four years of litigation and/or regulatory enforcement experience to join our growing team.

We are looking for candidates who have hands-on litigation and/or regulatory enforcement experience, who are excited about taking on more responsibility and who have a demonstrated interest in consumer financial services litigation and enforcement matters.
Experience in consumer class actions or enforcement proceedings by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, or other federal and state regulators with jurisdiction over consumer financial services companies is a plus.
Excellent legal writing and research skills are required.
Manatt’s consumer financial services attorneys work collaboratively across offices and practices and represent a wide variety of clients, including banks, fintechs, specialty and small business finance companies, institutional investors, and nonfinancial companies offering products and services subject to consumer financial protection laws, such as retailers, sports and entertainment companies, and telecommunication and satellite television service providers.
A rapidly expanding part of our practice involves advising emerging companies in the fintech space, including online lenders and mobile payment companies, regarding the application of legacy laws to their disruptive technologies.

The base annual pay range for this role is between $275,000-$365,000.
The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity.
