Join Fish’s San Diego team in our fast-paced Practice Systems Department as a Patent Paralegal – Prosecution.
How Will You Make a Difference?
Responsible for a wide range of administrative and procedural duties relating to the initial phases of filing patent applications, through the completion of the patent prosecution process, including maintenance of electronic files.
Responsible for Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings including the PTACTS system to prepare and file all documents in inter partes review, post grant review, and covered business method proceedings.
Maintain dockets for trials in PTAB proceedings.
Organize electronic and paper files for PTAB proceedings.
Communicate with PTAB, client and opposing counsel for PTAB proceedings.
Prepare documents related to various phases of U.
S.
and Foreign patent prosecution, including but not limited to; information disclosure statements; formal documents, office action response shells and notice of allowance due diligence.
Maintain and manage a prosecution docket; follow up on items to ensure due dates and deadlines are met.
Meet billable goal as established by practice management.
Ability to work in the office as needed for training and collaboration, no more than 3 days per month.
What Will You Bring to the Table?
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in as a paralegal is required.
Post-grant (PTAB, Patent Litigation) experience is required.
Proficient with Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings including the PTACTS system to prepare and file all documents in inter partes review, post grant review, and covered business method proceedings.
Excellent time management, prioritization, problem-solving, and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).

Our salary range for this position in San Diego is $$26.
