Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Contracts Specialist! Job Responsibilities: Review and analyze a wide variety of commercial and public-sector client and subcontractor agreements (e.
g.
, master services agreements, professional services agreements, subconsulting agreements, vendor agreements, task orders, purchase orders, change orders, teaming agreements, joint venture agreements).
Identify key contractual provisions (e.
g.
, indemnity, defense, standard of care, warranties, limitations of liability) and mandatory flow-down requirements and provide recommended revisions to align contracts with internal company policies and contracting guidelines.
Provide support to project teams during the contracting process to promote compliance with the company’s contracting and risk review processes and to serve as a key resource for contracting issues and questions.
Review insurance provisions to ensure compliance with the company’s insurance program.
Support project teams during contractual negotiations with clients and vendors.
Identify opportunities to improve contracting processes and other legal functions and collaborate with other members of the Legal Team to implement these improvements and to achieve department goals and objectives.
Assist with the development and updating of contract templates.
Position Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of contract management experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience within the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) industry.
Advanced knowledge of contract law principles, risk management, and insurance.
Ability to identify and mitigate risk issues early in the project development process.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a large volume of contract reviews while working in a fast-paced environment.
Solid understanding of commercial, federal, state, and local government contracting and practices.
Significant experience drafting and negotiating all forms of AEC-industry agreements.
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to influence key stakeholders and achieve project objectives.
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients, including the ability to effectively communicate legal concepts at all organizational levels.
Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Proficient in the use of the Microsoft 365 suite of programs.
Experience working with design-build agreements preferred.
Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software desirable.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California & Colorado Equal Pay Acts.
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Salary range: $80,017-$140,340.
