*Overview: *Client (An AM 50 Law Firm) is seeking a U.
S.
Filing Specialist.
As a member of the patent team, you will play a crucial role for our clients in establishing and protecting the rights to their innovations.
You will be responsible for coordinating U.
S.
filing and prosecution, including Information Disclosure Statements.
You will serve as an expert resource and work cooperatively with a large team of patent professionals.
You must be comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritization in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
You must excel at obtaining and effectively communicating information related to pending patent applications and matters of U.
S.
patent law.
You will drive our client service principles and ensure they are attained in all facets of this position.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
*Primary Responsibilities*
* Applying detailed knowledge of patent prosecution, manage all aspects of administrative patent prosecution support for U.
S.
patent matters of assigned clients.
* Utilizing expertise of the patent practice and adhering to USPTO procedures and firm policies and protocols, timely create and file accurate and comprehensive USPTO submissions, including Information Disclosure Statements.
* In support of managing client portfolios, process incoming correspondence related to U.
S.
patent prosecution and report USPTO correspondence to clients.
* Review Daily Dockets and attend to pertinent entries with Docket Department; proactively communicate with and remind practitioners of due dates; maintain manual calendar (Redbook) for assigned clients.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients to deliver responsive and appropriate client service.
Anticipate future requests based on understanding of client business needs.
* Apply specialized knowledge of client preferences to assemble, establish, maintain, and adhere to specific guidelines for assigned clients.
* Respond to client inquiries regarding routine patent portfolio matters and provide status reports to clients upon request.
* Provide back-up support for colleagues to complete overflow work.

* Ensure expertise in technology relevant to the position; proactively use most current technology to further teamwork, client service, and efficiency.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
*Education and Experience*
* Minimum of one year of patent experience required.
* Minimum of one year of IDS preparation and filing preferred
*Professional Skills*
* Basic knowledge of USPTO procedures and familiarity with 37 C.
F.
R.
and Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (MPEP) rules.
* Detailed knowledge of the USPTO's Patent Center website and other patent related resources such as Patentscope (WIPO).
