Job Title: Manufacturing Lead Reports To: Ana Ortiz – Value Stream Manager – VMC Operations Location: Vista, CA Business Unit Description: Bracing and Support Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing lead to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will plan production schedules based on business demand and provide Leadership to team members to achieve organization goals.
The Manufacturing Lead will perform a range of tasks encompassing both repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operation, specializing in electronic and/or mechanical assemblies.
The Lead will work collaboratively, contributing to the development of concepts and techniques within a specialized function.
This role requires extensive knowledge, independent judgment, and initiative to ensure the success of complex assignments.
Performs various tasks which may include but are not limited to: Key Responsibilities: Ensure that production schedules and output meet customer requirements.
Trains new hires and current staff on implemented procedures.
Delegate tasks to team members.
Ability to manage conflict.
Works with Leadership on a cross training schedule.
Participate on manufacturing audits and 5S program.
Inform supervisor of work-related problems.
Demonstrates understanding of basic assembly techniques and approaches.
Ability to manage conflict.
Participate in continuous improvement.
Minimum Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.
Proficient in Excel preferred.
Work environment | Physical demands: Standing all day Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment Key Competencies: Leadership Collaboration Technical Expertise Initiative Quality Assurance Desired Characteristics: Extensive knowledge in a specialized function.
Proven ability to work independently, determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
