Currently, ManTech is seeking a full-time employee who is motivated, career and customer oriented CVN NAVSEA Equipment Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team at Commander Naval Air Force Pacific offices in NAS North Island, BLDG 11 in San Diego Ca.
The Aircraft Carrier Maintenance Logistic Support Program Team supports the Commander Naval Air Force.
Pacific (CNAP) in conducting training and executing various shipboard assist and assessments of the Maintenance Support Centers (MSC), Maintenance Data Systems (MDS), and validation of all equipment.
Configuration records for all CVN NAVSEA and NAVAIR Equipment.
Provide Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) for all PACFLT Carriers, CNAP N43 Staff, and future CVN systems that are transitioning due to modernization, including Model Based Product Support and new Ford Class logistics support.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: The primary responsibility is to perform the duties as the CNAP Ship System Analyst SME for CVN Engineering Systems and all associated equipment in relation to CVN Engineering Department, Reactor Department and MSC Operations.
The primary responsibilities are to provide ILS and configuration assistance, including research, analysis, and onsite equipment validation in support of CNAP staff and CVN personnel.
Basic navy supply knowledge is needed to assist in reviewing APL/AEL Data, assist in locating and shipping parts for daily CASREPS.
Review and provide feedback on submitted Fleet COSAL Feedback Reports.
Conduct research to support the identification and resolution of ILS elements, including parts searches and Equipment Configuration training and Configuration record updates needed to support shipboard systems.
Must be able to understand Allowance Parts List (APL) and Allowance Equipage List (AEL) data and codes, identify errors to APLs/AELs and provide resolution on fixing those errors and giving feedback to the fleet on ordering parts in interim until the Cognizant ISEA corrects the issue.
Assist in conducting 3M maintenance and material 3M Assist, 3M Inspections and Configuration validation with MSC and CVN personnel efforts.
Provide management support and oversight of the NAVSEA Systems allowances with the ISEA, NAVSUP and DLA for all West Coast CVNs and assist in oversight of the CVN Forward Deployed Naval Forces (FDNF) material lists.
Conduct ILS tracking for ILS Cert deliverables to MSC and assist MSC in processing of deliverables associated with Alteration Installation Teams (AIT) and shipboard modernization.
Assist in the resolution of ILS deficiencies and support of the CNAP Carrier Maintenance Support Centers, Naval Tactical Command Support Systems (Example: NTCSS OMMS and RSUPPLY) and Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM), maintain an up-to-date listing of Pacific Fleet Carrier NAVAIR and NAVSEA Logistic Support, ISEA and CAFSU Rep contacts.
Provided continuous support to deployed forces to assist in support for all CVN ILS problems during underway operations when needed and assist in MSC processes and programs that support the Pacific Fleet CVNs.
Prior experience as a Departmental 3M Assistant, Ships OMMS FAS and 3MC qual in not a must but not required.
Understanding of the 3M Sked program Process and OMMS is a required.
Assist the TYCOM N432 and N433 TYCOM Offices by conducting ILS training, correcting part issues, identifying equipment configuration errors and assist all CVN Shipboard personnel with Equipment Configuration validation, Configuration updates, MSC program execution and correcting ILS discrepancies.
Basic Qualifications: (Rank E-6) or higher with minimum of 10 (10) years of CVN experience CVN Engineering System experience and understanding of MSC Operations and achieved the rank of a First Class Must be physically capable and willing to access all CVN equipment spaces to conduct on-site equipment validations is support of modernization installs and removals such as a Service Changes, Ship Alterations and Mechanical Alterations accomplished during Overhaul Availabilities.
Must be fluent in the use of OMMS-NG, the Shipboard Maintenance reporting program, and teach CVN Shipboard OMMS-NG to shipboard sailors on day one.
Must have and maintain a US passport for Foreign Travel.
Must have the ability to work onboard CNAP aircraft carriers, including capacity to travel overseas and go underway for extended 2-week period (or as required) to include meeting CVNs in foreign ports and flying out via aircraft at sea.
Must be able to go to sea Proficient in and can create Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point documents for briefings, ILS validations, and training evolutions.
Preferred Qualifications: Master Training Special qualification is a plus, but not required.
Must possess the ability to speak in front of large groups, brief N43 Staff personnel, conduct briefings with internal TYCOM offices and CVN Chain of Command personnel following a scheduled assist and assessments.
Able to perform the duties as a classroom instructor teach MSC Program and MDS (3M) course material to CVN Personnel and CNAP Staff.
Able to be Team Lead on a task and debrief results following and inspection to CNAP TYCOM Personnel and CVN Chain of Command personnel on CVNs.
Able to read, understand and apply NAVAIR/NAVSEA Drawings and NAVAIR/NAVSEA Technical Manuals to resolve complex ILS and equipment configuration issues to all shipboard systems.
Prior Maintenance Support Center (MSC) experience is a plus.
If not, must have a good understanding CVN Maintenance Support Center Policies and Operations and how they support the Ship in resolving ILS issues on the ship.
Clearance Requirements: Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance Physical Requirements: Must be in good physical health to lift objects over 50lbs, able to climb ship ladders, access trunks to the 7th deck or bellow and crawl through hatches aboard ship.
Must be able to work in a hot, cold, and rainy environment and near radioactive equipment to validate Engineering and Reactor Equipment.

Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS at a in a weeks’ notice to support Carriers in their homeport and when they are deployed.
The projected compensation range for this position is $110,800-$185,500.
There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
