Accent Controls, Inc.
is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Truck Driver (medium) for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution, located in San Diego, CA.
JOB SUMMARY: The Truck Driver safely operates trucks on the installation or within a city or distribution/industrial area transporting material and equipment between various types of establishments such as: warehouses, piers, wholesale and retail establishments, or designated local delivery locations based on established schedules.
Loads and unloads truck with or without helpers, performs daily maintenance and safety checks on the vehicle and ensures the vehicle is in good working order.
As required, based on type of material being transported, successful completion of OSHA compliance training IAW DLAI 1307 Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Training for Packaging and Transportation Personnel Process Guidance prior to the beginning of full performance.
May require use of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to generate/close out local delivery manifests.
Adheres to audit readiness requirements and associated contract requirements.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and meet established productivity and quality control goals associated with assigned functional area / process.
Understand and use the Government provided Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other Government Data Systems to perform the requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Follow established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Job Breakdown sheets (JBS), Technical Manuals, and Audit Readiness standards.
Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL's) associated with assigned functional work areas / process and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals.
Adhere to Government and Company policies and procedures.
Responsive communication to the Inventory, Customer Service, and Quality Control teams regarding any system discrepancies that cannot be resolved.
Ability to use e-mail to receive and disseminate workload tasks and information.
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with co-workers, site management, CGA and Customers regarding service and transportation support at the Distribution Center.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment to include vehicle safety and security measures.
Responsible for understanding site local delivery and transportation routing plan.
Perform other duties as assigned in association with established Management and Contract Compliance Plan, Storage Plan and workload requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Citizen Must be able to meet government security clearance (CAC Card) Possess a valid Driver's License and applicable CDL (Heavy and Medium Rating) Meets U.
S.
DoT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) company registration requirements.
Security Clearance required for both Medium and Tractor-Trailer Drivers Fluent in speaking, reading and writing the English language.
Warehouse and WMS experience preferred.
Must pass company MHE certification program.
2-3 years' experience over the road driving preferred.
Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (Forklifts and other).
Ability to operate power tools and other industrial equipment.
Ability to successfully complete WMS, OSHA compliance, DLA SOP, and company training requirements.
MISCELLANEIOUS / OTHER: Ability to stand, squat, and have full range of motion, wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as needed for job duties, lift at least 40 pounds, operate a forklift in accordance with a training certification program, and see, hear and respond to dangerous situations.
