The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible to design, implement, and maintain robust BI solutions to support the company’s data, analytics, and business intelligence programs.
This position will be responsible to develop datasets, reports, and dashboards using Power BI to transform data from disparate sources into business insights delivered through reports that support data analysis, storytelling, and decision-making across the organization.
The BI Developer must utilize effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders and have a solid understanding of business needs to develop tailored solutions strategically aligned with enterprise objectives.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards, leveraging effective design principles and visualizations to deliver actionable insights.
Gather and convert business requirements into technical delivery plans, enabling the production BI solutions.
Collaborate with data engineers on data warehouse design to ensure interoperability and efficient integration with downstream analytics and BI layers.
Apply methods and controls to ensure adherence of BI solutions to data governance policies, safeguarding data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
Contribute to metadata repositories documenting data definitions, ownership, usage, and other components for the data governance framework.
Implement mechanisms that systematically track the flow of data elements throughout the organization, ensuring transparent and comprehensive data lineage.
Participate in all relevant stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Understand departmental operations to create useful key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business activity.
Efficiently manage information exchange through maintenance of business requirements documents, technical design documents, data dictionaries, and other informational resources.
Create educational materials, conduct training sessions, and provide ad hoc support to enhance end-user BI proficiency.
Act as a BI evangelist to the organization, promoting broad adoption of BI solutions.
What we need from you: Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information technology, or related field; master’s degree is a plus.
2 or more years of professional experience with Power BI development, with a track record of developing, deploying, and maintaining BI solutions in an enterprise setting.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query (M), and best practices regarding design and use of visualizations.
Advanced ability to understand complex business needs and conceive aligned BI solutions.
Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, Excel, and commonly used M365 applications.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and data warehouse architecture.
Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to apply logic and abstract reasoning to solve challenging problems involving complex systems.
Excellent technical problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Commitment to continuous learning, staying informed of industry trends, and adopting new technologies and methodologies.
Ability to adapt to fast-evolving business conditions.

Base salary and total compensation package determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
