FuelRod is seeking a hardworking candidate to join us as a full-time Shipping & Receiving and Inventory Specialist.
The purpose of the Shipping/Receiving role is to package, process and transact outgoing shipments.
Then receive all incoming shipments by processing, transacting, and putting away products and supplies.
Due to the seasonal nature of customer orders, all Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Specialist team members may be directed to work in other areas of the company based on workload.
The Inventory Specialist role is responsible for organizing stock in a well-planned manner.
You will also be responsible for keeping track of what stock comes in and goes out.
You will be loading and unloading stock and supplies off trucks using a pallet jack and walkie stacker.
In addition to this, you should have an excellent ability to work in stressful conditions and possess excellent time management skills.
You should also possess good reporting and analytical skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Post transactions daily • Process, pack, and ship orders daily.
• Process, unpack and distribute items received from third-party freight/shipping company.
• Package, secure and ship everything leaving PPC through third-party freight/shipping company.
• Update the inventory tracking system (Google Sheets and MRP System) by inputting all transactions for Poway Processing Center (PPC) • Perform inventory cycle count to help ensure accuracy of all inventories (digital and physical counting) • Research and resolve issues with orders, shipments, and sales.
• Suggest possible areas of process improvements to the manager.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping issues in Ship Station • Place stock and equipment in the warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating walking stacker and pallet jacks for large goods.
• Double-check shipment contents against counts to ensure accuracy.
• Cross train in other areas to provide support when needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) • 2+ years’ experience of shipping/receiving and inventory management • Work well with others as a team player • Must be able to learn processes • Must be comfortable with computers • Must be willing to follow a priority set by the manager Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
