Position Summary The Sr Financial Analyst - IT plays an important role by performing a variety of professional activities directly related to the organization’s Finance operations for the Technology department.
The role is responsible for high-level business reporting and analysis that helps the management team make appropriate financial business decisions.
The Sr Financial Analyst - IT is recognized by peers as the “go to” subject matter expert and may answer questions from lower-level Financial Analysts in absence of the manager.
Essential Functions This position is responsible for managing the Technology planning and budgeting process for all cost centers rolling up to CIO, including monitoring actual financial performance against budgeted and forecast expectations.
Develop financial models to show how IT costs are being spent to run the business.
The goals of the position are to provide IT cost transparency, to help drive business decisions, create business efficiencies and to enable insight and conversation around the value of IT.
This is done in the service of recognizing IT as a value-added business partner and increasing IT alignment with organizational strategy.
Develop and leverage strong IT relationships with Accounting, Sr.
Management, IT Project and Business Relationship Managers, Business Unit consumers, IT personnel, and Planning.
Engage with and build strong partnerships with senior level management sponsors for IT Financial Management initiatives.
Partner with IT Project and Portfolio management to develop cost models for new Technology business cases; perform ROI analysis.
Determine and track proper costs and labor reporting for IT projects.
Perform variance analysis and financial reporting on IT capital projects.
Effectively communicate information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
Provide timely, accurate and insightful reporting on monthly and quarterly results; prepare, review, and distribute reporting for Technology management.
Compile ad hoc financial reports and analyses for management.
Use technology to gather necessary financial data and create seamless financial reporting.
Create and maintain financial dashboards and reporting packages.
Prepare budget worksheets and workforce planning modeling for corporate using function specific drivers such as volume, FTE, etc.
Work to increase productivity by identifying inefficiencies and providing recommendations for system and process improvements.
Work with Accounting to clean up Technology cost center and GL data to improve financial accuracy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, along with five or more years experience in financial analysis related role(s) is preferred.
Expert-level knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large sets of data.
Advanced Excel skills required.
Ability to adapt to a growing and dynamic environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and organizational skills.
Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Experience understanding, interpreting, and consolidating financial statement for multiple business units.
Ability to work independently with the self motivation to accomplish goals.
Ability to manage communication with multiple stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to research issues and identify solutions to complex problems.

00 annually Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.
