This role involves substantial use of Excel and our NetSuite accounting system.
JobDescription Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

Assists in the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from various business units.
Verify that certain transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system including the cash records, inventory, purchasing, A/R, A/P and general ledgers.
Prepare month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
Support the team in the rollout of NetSuite modules including Standard Costing, Consolidation, Fixed Assets, Vendor Prepayments and Prepaids.
Assist team members in the implementation and development of new software applications for enhanced financial reporting and forecasting.
Organization and processing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings including federal and state income tax, sales tax and annual state business registrations.
Assist in the annual audit by preparing a wide variety of account reconciliation and audit schedules.
Assist in the creation and documentation of new accounting processes related to our Enforcement/ LPR business.
Assist team members/ operations in our United Kingdom and Canadian subsidiaries.
Candidate must illustrate skills, experience and knowledge including: Understanding the natural balance of accounts Ability to understand and record accrual journal entries Experience with amortizing assets (or liabilities) Understanding of basic revenue and cost recognition Reliability and consistency Perseverance, determination, and follow-through Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
5+ years in accounting or related experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software applications (NetSuite or similar ERP; Excel).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical financial practices.
