The Computer and Information Sciences Department at San Diego Mesa College prepares students for industry positions as well as transfer to 4-year institutions.

The Computer Science Assistant Professor is both an experienced educator and a knowledgeable professional who employs equitable teaching pedagogy to convey the technical and workplace skills of the industry for the success of students.
This position will teach courses within the Computer and Information Sciences discipline that match their knowledge, skills, and experience.
These courses may include: Java, Python, Linux, C++, C#, Lisp, Agile Software Development, Project Management, Databases, Assembly Language, and Data Structures.
This is not a research position.
The 40 hour per week assignment will consist of teaching at least 15 class hours per week, both on-campus and online classes, and may include day, evening and weekend hours.
