*Job Title: Medical Assistant* *Required: Required State CMA license, Active BLS* *Location: San Diego, CA 92179* *Duration: 28 weeks with possible extend* *Schedule: Monday – Friday/40hrs * *Required License/Certification:* · CMA License Required · BLS *Qualification Requirements:* All Temporary/Relief Medical Assistants assigned to CDCR must have the minimum experience outlined below: 1.
Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years performing services similar in scope to those defined herein in a public or private institution.
Internship does not count towards the required experience.

Possess and maintain while providing services to CDCR a current and valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California, to practice as a Medical Assistant.

Possess Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association Provider or American Red Cross (with AED); 4.
Possess documentation of completion of a competency validation process meeting the requirements of Title 22, Section 70016 prior to performing the duties required by the CDCR.

Any Temporary/Relief Medical Assistants providing services through this Agreement must be proficient in the English language and be able to communicate effectively with the CDCR/CCHCS.
All Temporary/Relief Psychiatric Technicians must be able to speak, understand oral and written communication and write effectively in the English language.
Any Temporary/Relief Medical Assistant who fails to meet the minimum qualifications shall not be permitted to perform services.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract Salary: $24.
