Its mission is to place veterans and wounded warriors into advanced manufacturing careers by providing them with industry-leading training, nationally recognized credentials, work experience, and job placement.
Training is provided at no cost to veterans.

The HR Coordinator plays a pivotal role in facilitating various human resources functions and processes within Workshops for Warriors and VetPowered (sister organizations).
This position involves coordinating activities related to recruitment, employee engagement, employee onboarding, training, benefits administration, and general HR support.
The HR Coordinator reports to the Director of HR to ensure seamless HR operations and contributes to fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities: Recruitment Coordination: Assist in drafting job descriptions with KPIs and SMART Metrics.
Posting job openings in Applicant Tracking System (ATS) JazzHR.
Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates.
Conduct initial screening of resumes and applications.
Facilitate the interview process and coordinate feedback.
Onboarding and Offboarding: Coordinate new employee onboarding activities, including orientation sessions.
Prepare and distribute onboarding materials and paperwork.
Request new employee computer and system access.
Assist in the offboarding process.
Employee Records Management: Generate reports and provide HR data as needed from ADP Workforce Now.
Update employee files as documents come into the HR office.
Assist with annual employee performance review process.
Assist with employee updates such as promotions, transfers, and job description updates.
Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits programs.
Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
Collaborate with external vendors to ensure smooth benefits delivery.
Training and Development: Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs.
Track employee training progress and maintain training records.
Assist in identifying training needs within the organization.
Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and concerns, escalating as needed.
Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment.
Assists with programs to recognize and celebrate employees such as Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) events calendar, employee birthdays, employee work anniversaries, and more! HR Compliance: Stay informed about employment laws and regulations.
Assist in ensuring HR processes comply with legal requirements.
Participate in audits and compliance reviews.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
Prepare HR-related reports and presentations.
Manage scheduling, appointments, and correspondence.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Work Experience To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily (with or without an accommodation).

Bachelor's Degree or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent level of experience.
HR certification (e.
g.
, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHRca) is preferred but not required.
A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible HR experience 3+ total years of experience in human resources management supporting at least 60-200 employees.

Important Notes Position Details: This is a full-time hourly (non-exempt) position (40+ hours/week).
Pay: The range of pay for this California-based position is $25-$30 per hour.

Work Environment: The employee works in an office/administration building in an urban industrial neighborhood.
Other areas within the school are mixed use such as classrooms, welding, and machining areas.
Employees may have additional environmental hazards that may be chemical, electrical, flammable, or mechanical in nature.
