This role offers a flexible hybrid working environment.
The Billing Analyst provides process, system, and related support to ensure that company assets are safeguarded, and that inventory, accounting, and financial records are accurate and in accordance with the company's requirements.
Their daily work will involve research, analysis, recording, reconciliation and reporting of data related to alternate provider services and leased facilities.
They support billing and cost-related audit requests and evaluate operational data to identify opportunities for revenue and loss prevention improvements.
The Billing Analyst possesses the knowledge and ability to utilize tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data.
They will contribute to projects by gathering data for business-focused insights.
The Billing Analyst interacts with various internal departments, including finance/accounting, engineering, and project management, as well as external service providers, in support of daily operations and audit functions.
Responsibilities span from pre-order estimates to invoice review.
This role is involved in ongoing business process improvement, and the Billing Analyst needs the ability to understand, monitor, update, or enhance their daily processes as needs and tools change.
Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Duties include, but not limited to:) • Researches data discrepancies that impact revenue and billing reports.
• Identifies the root cause of billing/rating issues and coordinates resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
• Provides feedback on data quality and processes to help identify revenue assurance opportunities.
• Closely follows policies and procedures to perform audits and identify revenue leakage.
• Runs simple data queries to manage follow-up activity • Helps document processes and contributes to best practices for audit-related activity.
• Performs audit activities, including review of exception reports from the inventory and billing systems and inspects invoices for discrepancies and documenting findings • Manages task queues effectively, and completes tasks completely and within target intervals • Maintains standards as established through existing measures and procedures.
• Maintains strong relationships with boundary partners and peers Experience & Skills Requirements: Minimum • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years experience in a related field.
The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree or higher degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field.
• Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Oracle queries (SQL/OBIEE), network inventory systems (Granite, BluePlanet) • Excellent skills in working effectively with teams throughout the organization Preferred • Experience with Optix, ICOMS, Synchronoss Access Management (SAM) Billing, Tableau, CBForce Working Environment: Fast-paced, positive, high-energy environment.
Can have high levels of stress due to deadlines and the necessity of quick response times.
