There are immediate openings for the position of Crime Prevention Specialist in the Sheriff's Department North Coastal Station.
This list may also be used by other North County Stations for future vacancies.
Future Salary Increases July 2024 - 5.
75% increase to base pay (2.
75% Across-the-Board + 3% Market Increase) About the Position: Crime Prevention Specialists perform non-sworn support duties in the areas of education regarding crime prevention methods and techniques on home and business security, property identification, and personal protection for individuals and community groups.
Incumbents will be required to make presentations to property owners, schools and community groups on crime prevention.
Crime Prevention Specialists are allocated to the District Attorney's Office and the Sheriff's Department.

Note: Working Conditions/Special Requirements: Ability to work irregular hours, shifts and weekendsTo accommodate the needs of the community, evening meetings may require night shift adjustmentsBoth office and field environment; work may be in different community facilities across the CountyA valid California Class C driver's license, which must be maintained throughout employment in this class, is required at time of appointment or the ability to arrange necessary and timely transportation for field travel.
Incumbents in this class may be required to use their own vehicle for field travelMust submit: A photocopy of college transcripts in PDF format.
