Job Description: Delivery Driver
Drivers are the face of our dispensary; they spend the most time with our customers.
As a driver you are responsible for giving product recommendations to a wide variety of people with many different ailments.
Our patients/customers will expect the our drivers to have extensive knowledge of the cannabis products we carry, as well as be personable and professional.
Drivers must stay aware of all laws pertaining to our business to ensure they sell items correctly, and do not sell more than the daily limit.
Drivers are expected to have a clean driving record as well as professional customer service.
Job Duties:
Assist customers with medical cannabis related questions and provide recommendations for a wide range of needs.
Must be willing to learn and stay up to date with the ever-changing laws of the cannabis industry.
Must be hygienic, personable, patient and accountable.
Knowledge and passion of cannabis and its uses is preferred.
Candidates must be willing to learn and study the Store’s inventory, uses, types, and benefits.
Must be able to pay attention to details and multi-task.
Must be able to take direction and work as a team, but equally effective working on your own.
During down time maintain displays and store appearance - if not on deliveries.
Must be willing to stand and work for long periods of time.
Greeting all patients, customers and vendors in a friendly, courteous manner.
Answering all inquiries by the patient regarding medicines or other in stock inventory.
Asking the patient pertinent questions to ensure the patient is purchasing the appropriate medicine for their needs and condition.
Assisting the patient in any way to ensure the patient knows how to use the medicine they are purchasing.
Moving customers through the sales process in a timely, friendly manner.
Ensuring that the Budtender station is kept clean and free of all flower and debris.
Maintaining an orderly, clean work area.
Informing Manager of need to restock medicine as necessary.
Assisting the Manager(s) in any way requested.
Cleaning up the store as required, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning glass, emptying trash, cleaning up the restroom facilities, organizing magazines and reading materials, and any other cleaning duties as directed by the Store Manager.
Staying up to date on the products and menu of the Company.
Learning pertinent information about how to sell all the products of the Company.
Upselling patients when appropriate.
Answering the phones and helping dispatch orders.
Must be able to operate a cash register, and correctly count back change.
Counting and balancing their cash drawer at the beginning and end of every shift.
Assisting in counting product inventory for audits
Have a clean driving record
Comfortable driving for long periods of time and knowledgeable of delivery areas is preferred.
Authority
The driver has no supervisory responsibilities.
Drivers report to the Delivery Manager & Store Manager.
All applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be 21 Years of age or older.
Be a US citizen and local resident.
Must have a vehicle model year 2007 or newer with a section of interior space not visible to the
public (trunk).
Must have a vehicle that is equipped with an active alarm system.
Must have your name listed on the vehicle registration.
Must have a vehicle insurance policy in your name.
Must be willing to consent to a criminal background and motor vehicle history check.
Must agree to using a company issued GPS tracking device and/or dashcam.
Must be available to work all shifts including nights and weekends (we alternate for all staff).
Understanding of medical marijuana and the benefits it can provide to patients.
Have a working Android or iPhone with Google maps installed for navigation (our system uses
this to get you to your destinations).
Successful performance of this role requires that the candidate is physically able to move about
freely and lift 30 pounds.
Preferred Experience:
CA MERC reporting system experience
POS Tracking Systems / Cannabis Software Tracking experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient computing skills
Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match
High level of integrity
Required license or certification:
Valid California Driver's License
Live Scan Criminal Background Check
Working Environment:
The work environment is fast paced and non-traditional.
The driver regularly works evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of our retail setting.
Successful performance of this role requires that the incumbent is physically able to move freely between different parts of the store, lift up to 30 pounds, and spend several hours a day viewing a computer screen.
