Position Summary
Perform inspection activities utilizing visual and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) methods to verify and validate conformance to internal quality and customer standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspects machined parts, components, assemblies, and materials to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory guidelines (Military Standards, ASTM, ANSI, and ASME Codes, etc.
) and ascertains product conformity, condition, or serviceability.
Perform receiving inspections, in-process, or final inspection of parts and assemblies to ensure visual and dimensional compliance.
Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications using measuring instruments.
Ensure instruments and other equipment or tools are calibrated to ensure proper performance, accuracy, and reliability.
May prepare, update, or maintain a calibration database.
Recommend necessary corrective action based on inspection results.
Documents inspection results and provides various electronic and hard copy test and inspection reports to appropriate parties.
May develop and/or follow work instructions for approved procedures.
Prepare and generate non-conformance reports in accordance with the Quality Management System specifications.
May participate in customer and/or quality audits.
Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
Minimum three (3) year’s related metal material inspection experience or equivalent of education and experience.
Prior experience with visual and dimensional inspections.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection methods.
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures.
Ability to prioritize and handle workflow.
Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
Knowledge of and ability to use micrometers, rulers, calipers, and gauges.
Ability to measure and read dimensional tolerance tools and equipment.
Ability to view details in close range.
