JOB SUMMARY
The Clinician (Bilingual) provides psychosocial rehabilitation services to assist co-occurring clients with mental health and substance use disorders.
Recommends and assists with access to medical, educational, social, prevocational, vocational, housing, or other community services to support treatment and recovery goals.
Initiates referrals to the next level of care, and coordinates with physical health providers to ensure whole-person health service delivery.
Advocates for clients in their best interest and communicates with State, County, and community service partners, including Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health, Justice System, Probation, Courts, and Housing providers.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide services for individual counseling and group sessions for individuals that are justice involved with Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Disorders.
Provides expertise in the areas of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders
Collaborate with Program Manager in client care for assessments, groups, individual sessions, along with the treatment planning
Develop, evaluate, and implement treatment goals and plans in conjunction with the FPP statement of work.
Provide individual supportive coaching in all areas of clients’ life.
Perform psychosocial and risk assessments and maintains a daily log of client contacts.
Provide support to all clients including on-call crisis intervention covering nighttime and weekend hours.
Conduct and oversee psychoeducational groups as directed by Program Manager.
Perform shift management duties in coordination with other staff as directed by Program Manager.
Function as a liaison between client, program, and Federal Probation Officer.
Comply with all charting and documentation requirements per contract, funding agency, and MHS policy.
Prepare critical care issues for discussion during supervision and Daily Organizational Staff Meetings.
Collect necessary client demographic data and enters it on the MHS Treatment Team Services Data Collection Form.
Provide information about the program to community agencies connected to the mental health and substance abuse services system.
Comply with all MHS and program rules, policies and procedures including HIPAA standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in a behavioral science and a background of experience providing clinical services to individuals with Substance Use Disorders; license eligible with Board registration required
Ability to read, write, and speak both English and Spanish, required
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and EHR software
Ability to problem solve and react appropriately to emergency situations
Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with a team
Valid California driver’s license and current auto insurance coverage
