The Healthcare Integration Engineer will deploy the ATEC Integration Engine to client sites enabling integration into PACS/EHR/EMR systems.
This includes client relationship management, planning, analysis, technical, communication, documentation, and maintenance tasks associated with the implementation DICOM, and other system interfaces.
This position interacts with internal, external support teams throughout multiple project phases.
The Healthcare Integration Engineer, working closely with the project manager, supports and delivers the interoperability (I/O) integrations of the project using established best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement healthcare data integration solutions utilizing the Mirth based ATEC Integration Engine (AIE) Manage Integration & interface portions of implementation projects with clients or vendors Collaborate with healthcare professionals and IT teams to gather integration requirements Configure and customize ATEC Integration Engine and Hospital Integration Engine channels for data mapping and transformation Troubleshoot and debug integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and completeness based on requirements Own data integrity checks across interfaces Test and validate implemented interfaces based on requirements.
Monitor ATEC Integration Engineer server performance and ensure system stability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integration aligns with organizational goals.
Perform task estimation and implement projects according to project plan Provide proactive, transparent, and concise communication on project status Develop documentation related to software development projects (design artifacts, test plans/cases, etc.

5+ years of experience implementing healthcare interoperability solutions utilizing Healthcare Integration Engine 5+ years of experience integrating systems with Healthcare Integration Engine utilizing DICOM orHL7 or FHIR Operational experience in information systems including experience integrating large, complex, mission-critical systems Solid understanding of hospital / healthcare facility networking as well as general networking knowledge Expert level software development skills Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, etc) Understanding of clinical workflow (medical imaging and surgery) a plus Ability to think quickly, logically, and troubleshoot issues effectively Proven client support and client management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Effective in teaching and presenting to internal and external customers Ability to travel to various client sites (US) Outstanding organization skills a must Creative and resourceful problem solver with ability to take the big picture into account Education and Experience 5+ years experience building and deploying integrations in a production environment BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred For roles based in the United States that require access to hospital facilities, must be eligible for and maintain credentials at all required hospitals, including meeting any applicable physical requirements or vaccination requirements (including the COVID-19 vaccine, as applicable).
