How will you make an impact? As a Manager, Project Management for the Transplant Diagnostics division, this individual will be a leader in ensuring that the program management team achieves the goals and objectives of the business.
They will accomplish this by applying best practices and tools in program management with the goal of delivering high-quality in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products and value to the organization within the agreed-upon schedule, resources, and scope.
This includes assuring design control and long-term product manufacturability.
You will have a high degree of autonomy to achieve program goals! What will you do? Be responsible for the activities of all aspects involved in new product development to ensure a robust transfer from R&D to Manufacturing.
Effective and consistent communication of progress and challenges to all project partners, including the project core team, functional department managers/supervisors, site leaders, and extended team members.
Partner with R&D, Product Management, Technical Operations (Manufacturing Sciences and Engineering), and Manufacturing work centers to deliver highly reproducible products.
Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, and other business functions to develop project financial models and ensure commercial success of the newly developed products.
Establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve business impact analysis, risk assessments, incident response plans, emergency management plan, and business recovery plans.
Mentoring other project managers, providing feedback on performance, and partnering with employees to build personal development plans to improve skills.
Hiring, onboarding, and assigning project management resources as per business need.
How will you get here? Education: Minimum required education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in life sciences or engineering) PMP certification a plus Experience: Minimum 4 years of people management experience required.
Minimum 4 years proven experience in developing life-science products as a project manager under design control, using a standard stage-gate process from conceptualization to launch.
Proven experience leading teams without direct authority.
Experience managing complex projects.
IVD experience highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills: Assertively and effectively articulates sophisticated concepts and ideas to broad audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills: Cultivates relationships across a matrixed organization to resolve discord thoughtfully.
Outstanding influencing skills: Gets things done and drives decisions without formal authority.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Self-managing and self-motivating, able to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and expectations.
