*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
· Performs supportive services, such as basic meal preparation for the client, bathing, dressing, grooming, personal care and medication reminding.
· Perform light housekeeping, light vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, bed making, etc.
as directed by the plan of care, subject to the 20% rule.
o _Supervise, feeds, and dresses client, with other duties constitution no more than 20% of work time.
_
· Provides respite and companion care to client.
· Promotes and maintains a safe environment for the client.
· Recognizes and reports client changes and/or condition to office.
· Record client activity, daily logs, and any other client related forms to office.
· record changes and responsible to reporting to the next caregiver during shift exchanges.
*SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS *
· *Education:* High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and at least six months of related verified work experience and must demonstrate skills.
· *Communication Skills: *Good understanding of English language.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and notes.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions.
· *Critical Decision Making:* Position requires work from detailed instructions contained in the care plan and information received by client’s family or medical team.
Requires extensive contact with both inside and outside the company including but not limited to: United Care, family, physicians, therapists, etc.
· *Certifications, Licenses, Registration:* Must be registered with State of California Guardian Background Check.
