Toyota Chula Vista has an immediate opening for an Experienced Automotive Technician with Toyota Certifications.

Year after year we have increased the number of repair orders in our Service Department.
We are looking to hire Level A and B Technicians immediately.
Compensation:
Employees in this position will be paid a base hourly wage at wage rate ($32.
60), plus commissions.
Commission amounts vary based on performance, but the expected average annual earnings are approx.
$85,000 to $120,000.
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum pay range expected for this role.
Compensation for the role will be based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
Schedule:
We offer a 5-day work week and Sundays off.
Responsibilities:
• Safely and efficiently perform work specified on repair order in accordance with Toyota and dealership guidelines
• Test drive vehicles to diagnose issues, test and analyze components and systems using diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot cause of problem.
Must have hands-on knowledge of shop equipment.
• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and preventive maintenance in a timely manner on mechanical and electrical automotive systems including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, safety, informational, entertainment, etc.
Complete multi-point inspections and report findings on form for customer.
• Communicate with Service Advisor so he/she can inform customer if any additional service is required and the estimated time and cost for the repair.
• Completion of necessary repairs under warranty and/or recall notification per Toyota specifications.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Experience/ Education:
• Master Tech or Expert Level is highly preferred.
• Toyota Automotive Technician highly preferred or technician that is ASE Certified with another brand with dealership experience.
• CDK experience preferred
• - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.
• Excellent mechanical repair skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
• Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.
• Ability to read work orders.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Ability to regularly lift 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
