Overview:
As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will aid with and facilitate the Human Resource processes at all business locations.
This role administers Team Member health and welfare plans, and acts as liaison between Team Members and insurance providers.
You will be the key point of contact for resolving benefits-related problems and ensuring effective use of plans and positive Team Member relations.
The Human Resource Coordinator makes certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations, and that plan provisions are followed.
In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Human Resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
This role reports to the Human Resource Manager.
Responsibilities:
What you'll get to do:
Assists with administration health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
Assists with managing leaves of absence requests and monitoring LOA cases.
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
Reconciles benefits statements prior to forwarding to the finance department for payment.
Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
Assists with processing of terminations.
Assists with anniversary reports and general ad hoc reporting needs.
Assists with initiating WC claims and tracking.
Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HRM.
Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
Files documents into appropriate employee files.
Assists or prepares correspondence as requested (3rd party requests: EDD, SDI, VOEs).
Prepares new-employee files.
Processes mail.
Other essential duties may be assigned from time to time.

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two to four years’ related experience required in a Human Resources role.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
ADP Workforce Now experience
SHRM-CP credential is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and high-volume tasked environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
