ABOUT PRECISION DIAGNOSTICS:
Precision Diagnostics, based in San Diego, California is a fast-growing clinical laboratory that specializes in providing quantitative drug testing, primarily for the purpose of helping physicians monitor their patient's undergoing treatment for pain or substance abuse.
Precision’s objective is to improve patient adherence/compliance with their prescription regimen and protect medical practices from liability.
THE ROLE:
The Accessioning Technician is responsible for all aspects of the pre-analytical process in the laboratory.
This is a position which offers growth into other laboratory positions.
OUTCOMES:
Receives, sorts, and unpacks specimen shipments.
Identify and categorize special handling and priority accounts.
Accurately enters all information received from clients into testing database.
Ensure correct labels are affixed to specimen devices, tubes, and documentation.
Identifies discrepancies and communicates with appropriate personnel.
Follows Standard Operating Procedures and safety guidelines.
Medical records keeping - scan and store all paperwork received.
Specimen aliquoting – oral fluid and urine.
Specimen inventory and recovery.
Always maintain a clean and organized work area.
Compliance with HIPAA, CLIA, and COLA guidelines.
Daily verbal and electronic communication with designated personnel.
Assist with other duties as delegated.
Maintains production rate of 45 electronic specimens/hour and 35 manual specimens/hour
Does not exceed 5% error rate

Training is primarily conducted via Microsoft Learn modules and is assigned based on:
Position/Job Role – Most positions require a core set of Microsoft 365 working knowledge
Project Role – As member of a project team, you may be required to complete training before you can engage with the project team or commence project work
Ad-Hoc – Based on review of your performance via support requests, training modules will be assigned to increase skills
WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE:
This position is Full-Time
Salary is $18.
00 per hour
This role operates in a laboratory environment.
This role routinely uses laboratory equipment and requires the use of PPE.
Must be able to meet physical demands of the position, including:
Stand for long periods of time.
Estimate 90% of time is spent standing and 10% spent sitting.
Have frequent need to perform the following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat and reach above shoulders.
Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities.
No travel is expected for this position.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
