Limited Scope X-ray Technician

Busy Orthopaedic Practice seeking self-motivated individual who enjoys interacting with patients.

Able to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Versatile with the ability to manage interruptions.
*Responsibilities:* 1.
Perform radiology examinations as instructed.
2.
Prepare films for patients having surgery.
3.
Answer and process incoming calls courteously.
4.
Enter charting/billing into EMR.
5.
Assist other departments and the Physicians in locating radiology films.
6.
Purge and mail X-Rays as requested.
7.
Actively participate in department meetings.
8.
Demonstrate genuine cooperation with all aspects of the SDOA injury and illness prevention program, including compliance with all rules and regulations, and continuously practice safety while performing assigned duties.
9.
Perform other duties as Physicians, Administrator, or Business Office manager requested.
*Qualifications:* 1.
High school diploma.
2.
Must hold current license in Torso-Skeletal, Extremity, and Chest categories.
3.
Familiar with electronic charting.
4.
One year of experience in a hospital or medical office radiology department.
5.
Basic computer skills.
6.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
