DESCRIPTION Under general supervision of registered nurse in the assigned clinic, and direct supervision of Clinic Manager, the incumbent performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity.
Duties include prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, administering medications, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, assisting prescribers with medication refill requests and prior authorizations, patient education, and other aspects of patient care in a mental health setting.
Position requires initiative, able to prioritize critical demands and the ability to work in a team environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Knowledge of medical terminology, on-line scheduling, universal precautions, and proper use of body mechanics.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize demands and work in a team environment.
Must have excellent communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in a mental health and/or addiction treatment setting.
Ambulatory clinic experience.
Point of care testing experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $50,321 - $62,640 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $24.
