Safety Manager / Project Manager Education and Experience: - OSHA 30 hour training, First Aid/CPR/AED Training - MSc in Engineering Management - GPA 3.

Excel, Windows, Microsoft Word, Adobe) General Skills & Abilities - Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills - Work well independently with excellent time management skills - Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily workload with little or no direction - Good judgment and decision-making competence - Ability to solve problems and initiate logical solutions - Ability to communicate complex and technical information in a simple, clear, and straightforward manner, including the use of graphs and tables as needed - Energetic and motivated with the ability and desire to take initiative - Multilingual: fluent in English, Lithuanian and Russian Current Responsibilities: - Provide overall safety leadership, guidance, and technical support to the Project Manager and the team.
- Ensure project specific safety training is provided and all employees, including subcontractors, are aware of site-specific safety requirements, contractor’s site-specific plans, and required Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Conduct regular walk-through inspections of construction areas, service jobsites.
- Identify, document, and recommend resolution of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions; follow through to ensure corrections have been made.
- Investigate work related injury/ property/vehicle incidents.
- Assist Supervisors in developing and reviewing Activity Hazard Analyses and Review and Submit the AHAs to the client for acceptance.
- Maintain all recordkeeping documents including accident/incident reports, injury logs, OSHA Logs, training records, and all other company and outage recordkeeping requirements.
- Assist in developing and maintaining site specific plans (e.
g.
, Fall Protection, IIPP, SSPP, etc.
) - Create and share a formal Occupational Health and Safety Policy (IIPP and Safety Manual) - Participate in developing and conducting staff and trade safety training.
- Document all safety violations or unsafe conditions/activities.
- Ensure adequate, appropriate, and timely actions are taken to correct hazards once identified - Ensure attendance and participation at project safety meetings including attendance of subcontractor safety personnel - File and manage workman’s compensation claims - Ensure all reporting is completed in a timely fashion - Collaborate with customers and outside agencies as required - Educate/train employees in regulatory and company requirements - Conduct and/or participate in incident investigation - Conduct environmental, health, and safety compliance audits to ensure compliance - Communicate constantly with all levels of project management and supervision as it relates to both good and bad safety practices that are observed.
