The beautiful Acai or Jucara palm, Euterpe edulis, endemic to South America, where the fruit is harvested to produce a high anti-oxidant drink.
The are available in many different sizes.
No problem to grow in So Cal.
Awesome looking palm, w/ trunks not as fat as kings and holding more fronds.
