Santa Fe Christian Schools is seeking a qualified Academic Support Program Teacher (ASP) for the 2024-2025 school year.
The ASP Teacher will teach Study Skills Classes to small groups of students diagnosed with learning disabilities and/or ADHD.
The ideal candidate will be able to tutor students in all math, science, and writing levels.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a curriculum and lesson plans that will foster knowledge and skills essential to effectively teach students in the Upper and Middle School grades
Create individualized learning strategies, study skills training, direct intervention, organizational tools, and specialized remedial tutoring in necessary academic subjects
Demonstrate concepts using models, technology, apps, assistive technology, and other standard or teacher-prepared instructional aids
Evaluate each student's weekly progress in the completion of assessments for each of their classes
Communicate with parents to discuss individual student's progress
Advocate for students and manage their school-approved accommodations, collaborating with their general education teachers and serving as a resource consultant with classroom teachers

Demonstrate biblical maturity and serve as a Christian role model
Maintains active participation in an evangelical church
Requirements:
Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Special Education Learning Disabilities or related field preferred
Minimum of two years of teaching experience at the Middle or High School Level, including tutoring or special education instruction
An encouraging personality that is creative and flexible
Ability to work and communicate effectively with teachers and students
Interest in contributing to the school community outside of the classroom as a student advisor, proctor, or otherwise preferred
Must be authorized to work in the US
The base compensation range is dependent on prior experience and education: $55,500 - $120,000 per year.
