MiraCosta College Community Education is looking for an instructor to teach the course "Be Your Own Handyman (DIY)" workshop either at our Oceanside campus or San Elijo campus (Encinitas) for upcoming semesters.
This class is to be taught in a classroom setting at MiraCosta.
This is NOT an online class.
Qualifications:
* Instructors must have teaching experience of teaching more than 10 students at a time, communication skills, must be an expert and passionate about the area selected to teach.
* Instructors must be able to work one-on-one and with small to large groups of students.
* Able to teach and develop hands-on projects and curriculum.
* Instructors who are personable, enthusiastic, and patient.
* Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability issues.
It is imperative that the instructor is professional and ethical at all times.
* Short summary of course: Basics of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, wall patch, and tile repair.
