Elementary Teacher - San Diego, CA

Elementary Teacher - (Contract) Location: San Diego, CA, 92127 Hour Salary Range (based on experience): $18+/hour What you will be doing: Plan, implement, and coordinate the Montessori classroom with a co-teacher.
Maintain a prepared learning environment.
Follow the school handbook and monitor the appropriate use and care of equipment and materials.
Set limits and maintain high standards for child behavior in the Montessori context.
Observe student activity and base lesson planning on observed needs and interests.
Monitor and evaluate student development and outcomes.
Prepare and present progress reports on all students.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Participate in other school functions as requested by the Director.
Experience you will need: AMI Elementary diploma.
At least two years of experience working in a collaborative Montessori atmosphere.
An outgoing and engaging attitude.
Fluency in English.
Willingness to work with a partner.
Experience with 6-12 year old students in a Montessori setting is preferred.
