*Chess Instructor:* You will work hands-on with students K-6, teaching them the FUNdamentals of chess, supporting other team members with regular feedback, and growing your own knowledge and experience!
*Impact:* You bring a YOUnique perspective and collection of experiences to the team that will help others grow and learn even as you grow with them.
Students will benefit from having a mentor, a friend, and a role model setting realistic expectations and holding not only the students by themselves to those expectations.
Eventually, you’ll make a world of great chess players—or, at least, a strong-knit community that shares an interest and understanding not only of chess, but the skills that make chess players great: foresight, creative problem solving, and great sportsmanship!
*Within 12 Weeks of Hiring You Will:*
* *1st week:* Attend an orientation to prepare you for your first day.
* *1st- 6th week:*
* Work with a Lead Trainer/Level 2 Instructor on completing a 6 Week Training Program Checklist.
* Weekly check-ins with your Team Capitan
* *6th - 12th week:* Conduct your own classroom and lessons under the supervision of a Lead Trainer/Level 2 Instructor.
* 6th week: Reorientation with a small group of new instructors.
* Receive a ‘Support Report’ which provides a $1/hr raise and $100 bonus upon passing.
* Meet and work with a bunch of incredible people! We are planning on hiring over 40 new instructors between August - November.

To qualify, you need:
-A ROCKSTAR attitude, especially around students K-6
-An understanding of the chess terms "Castling, Pin, Fork, Skewer, En Passant, Stalemate and Checkmate" and "Opening Principles.

-A passion for teaching and a love of learning
-Reliable transportation and cellphone
-Availability between 12PM-5pm on weekdays
-Able to pass a TB test and background check upon hiring
-Pay rate is based on experience, qualifications, and abilities.
