The pay rate or range for this position is: $$70,000 to $80,000 per year Job Summary Flagship is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to join our team in San Diego for our growing Lab Services division.

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and evaluating learning and training programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of our employees.
You will collaborate with various departments to identify learning needs, create engaging content, and deliver effective training sessions that align with our organizational goals.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional with a passion for learning, a strong understanding of instructional design principles, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous development within the company.
Job Description Essential Functions: 1.
Training Program Design and Development Analyze organizational learning needs and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to develop comprehensive training programs.
Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, job aids, and other resources to support learning initiatives.
Utilize adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to ensure training effectiveness and knowledge retention.

Training Delivery and Facilitation: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars both in-person and virtually to diverse employee groups, ensuring a dynamic and learner-focused approach.
Facilitate discussions and activities to promote knowledge transfer, skill-building, and real-world application of learning concepts.
Provide constructive feedback and support to participants to enhance their learning experience.

Learning Evaluation and Improvement: Implement evaluation methods, such as surveys, assessments, and feedback mechanisms, to measure the impact and effectiveness of training programs.
Analyze training evaluation data and make data-driven recommendations for program improvements and updates.
Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices in learning and development to enhance training offerings and maintain a cutting-edge curriculum.

Learning Management System (LMS) Management: Oversee the organization's learning management system, ensuring content is up-to-date, accessible, and user-friendly.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS and collaborate with IT teams for resolution.

Learning Culture Promotion: Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to promote a culture of learning and development across the organization.
Develop and implement initiatives that encourage self-directed learning, skill-sharing, and continuous professional growth.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required.
3 years experience as an L&D Specialist or in a similar position preferred.
Demonstrated project and program management experience: organization, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track.
Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking virtual environment.
Solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
Proficient in developing various training materials, including e-learning modules and multimedia content preferred.
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training software.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex concepts and information.
Analytical mindset, capable of interpreting training data and using insights for program improvement.
Experience in designing and delivering training programs for diverse audiences is a plus.
Work Environment Small-to-large office environment.
Fast paced work environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.
Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products and noise.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds of office and facilities equipment (cleaning products, tools, and ladders) and trash and the ability to safely use equipment provided.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
