*Position Overview:* The University Registrar at California Miramar University serves as a key leader responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Office of the Registrar.
This pivotal role is essential to the university's academic operations, ensuring the maintenance, integrity, and confidentiality of student academic records.
The University Registrar also plays a central role in student registration, grading, transcript evaluations, compliance with FERPA regulations, audits of student enrollment, and the administration of policies and procedures related to academic record-keeping.
In addition, the Registrar supports the creation and maintenance of course schedules, university catalogs, and graduation processes.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional who can provide visionary leadership and uphold the university's academic mission.
*Key Responsibilities:* · Collaborate in the implementation of new student information systems to enhance operational efficiency.
· Continuously improve the functionality of the Office of the Registrar to align with the university's strategic goals.
· Academic Leadership · Maintain and update an efficient student records system in accordance with industry standards.
· Assist in creating semester course schedules, including final examination schedules aligned with the academic calendar.
· Coordinate and manage the student registration process.
· Oversee end-of-term processing, including grading and transcript evaluations.
· Administer and communicate probation statuses at the end of each term, following university academic standing policies.
· Interpret and apply academic rules and regulations.
· Prepare federal, state, and campus enrollment reports as required.
· Participate in commencement ceremonies.
· Prepare and certify transcript copies and enrollment verifications.
· Verify completion of degree requirements and oversee the creation of diplomas.
· Maintain historical enrollment statistics.
· Process Veteran certifications.
· Manage a comprehensive history of graduation requirements.
· Administer policies related to the confidentiality of student records, in alignment with federal and state regulations.
· Collaborate with the university to create and support special schedules for students as needed.
Additional Requirements: · Proven experience in the administration of academic policies.
· Prefer knowledge with SAP reports.
· Working and current experience with integrated student information systems and report creation.
· Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and reporting information to support data-driven decision-making.
· Experience with internationals students.
· Experience with Moodle.
· Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and at least a working knowledge of MS Access.
