Modality: In-person College: CEHHS - College of Education, Health, and Human Services Department: Public Health The Department of Public Health at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Spring 2024 to teach PH 532: Health Program Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
The course is a 3-unit class taught in the second 8 weeks of the semester.
Course Description This course provides an overview of the development of public health programs and interventions to address the most important health issues affecting our communities at local, national, and international levels.
It introduces theoretical application and the process of public health programming, including assessment, design, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Minimum qualifications: A Master of Public Health (MPH) or Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) Relevant experience working with college-level students or teaching in an institution of higher learning.
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with core faculty and colleagues on an ethnically and culturally diverse campus is required.
Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California.
Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.
Preferred qualifications: A doctoral degree in Public Health or a closely related field Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
