CSA San Diego County is looking for a qualified candidate with a passion for civil rights and public service work to join its Fair Housing team as a Testing Coordinator.
*Role* : The Testing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and planning fair housing testing investigations and properly analyzing said investigations.
In addition, the right candidate will be able to work creatively to assist in the implementation of a new investigations program at CSA San Diego County, which includes recruitment and training of fair housing testers.
Daily duties will include managing cases and training housing testers to properly investigate potential civil rights violations.
The Testing Coordinator will work with the Executive Director, Fair Housing counselors, and legal counsel to properly assess and document potential violations.
Must be detailed oriented and be able to properly organize and draft documents based upon investigations.
Commitment to civil rights work is key to being able to fulfill the requirements of this position and work with the CSA San Diego team.
Work days/times may differ depending on current work required.
Set times and days for work should not be expected.
CSA San Diego County is willing to train the right individual for the position.
Training may potentially require travel to other cities and/or states.
*Necessary Qualifications* : The Testing Coordinator must demonstrate all of the following: * Commitment to civil rights.
* Great communication and public speaking skills.
* Ability to research and keep-up with new laws and regulations regarding civil rights issues and conduct necessary research for investigations.
* Ability to work within a team to strategize and solve problems.
* Ability to independently work on multiple cases at one time.
* Ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds and in group settings.
* Ability to follow-up with testers and the CSA team and to properly document your work.
* Ability to understand professionalism and confidentiality in the work place.
*Experience:* Prior experience with non-profit, social services, civil advocacy, and/or human rights work is preferred.
*Education* : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
*Background/Mission:* CSA San Diego County is a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating fair housing discrimination in San Diego by enforcing the Fair Housing Act and state law equivalents.
CSA is committed to promoting and enforcing fair housing laws and equal housing opportunities for all residents.
Other issues CSA addresses include human trafficking, youth education, hate crime prevention, assistance for newcomers, and voter education.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.
