*SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS*
* Valid ID/ Driver's License
* A negative TB test dated within the last year
* Live Scan Fingerprinting
* Pediatric First Aid and CPR training
* Preventive Health & Safety Training
* High School Diploma or College transcripts
* Childcare credits a plus
* CA Food Handler's Card
* CDA or Early Childhood Education
* Be registered with California Early Care and Education Workforce Registry & Provide Proof.
*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Implement artistic creative lesson plans, based on our literary-themed based curriculum, stimulating activities for young children within your own classroom.
* Create arts and crafts for children.
* Prepare & Serve delicious meals nutritious snacks and lunches.
* Great communication with parents including development, behavior, and daily routines.
* Become familiar with emergency procedures and protocols.
* Clean and sterilize equipment and toys every hour.
* Provide weekly schedules and lesson plans for children and parents.
* Ensure cupboards are locked, organized, and labeled and cleaning supplies are always out of reach.
* Supervise children at all times.
* Integrate special needs children in a respectful manner.
* Comfort children in times of need and encourage children with expressions and hugs.
* Utilize Brightwheel & KidKare to communicate with parents & document each child's care.
* Effectively communicate with co-teachers, administrators, and parents.
