In this role, you will report to the Hiring manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

What we’re looking for Education: High school diploma required; Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Logistics/ Science/ is desirable (or equivalent work experience) is required Experience: 1-3 years applicable experience required Have CDL A, B, or C license Have a Hazmat Endorsement Pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screen Preferred experience in using Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, carts) Approved DOT physical certification Preferred Qualifications: Proven time management, forecasting knowledge, and/or expediting experience.
Strong problem-solving & analytical skills.

How you will thrive and create an impact Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.
In this role you will: Transport and delivers goods in accordance with the schedule as determined by the customer.
Unload or assist in unloading packages/materials needed.
Accurately secures loads and ensures loads are within weight limits.
Perform desktop deliveries.
Operate the delivery truck safely.
Report any vehicle problems and defects to management.
Align with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and other standards and regulations.
Apply placarding when needed and maintains a good driving record.
Ensure good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time and acting in a deferential and professional manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ensure vehicle logs and driving records are present and up to date.
Complete packaging and ship material following the regulatory requirements and transportation guidelines.
Verify receipts to ensure damage free products are introduced into our system, discrepancies are properly documented, and accurate records are maintained.
Ensure Receiving/Warehouse areas are safe, clean, and presentable at all times.
