Duties & Responsibilities:
• Drive back and forth between restaurant and guest locations
• Drive safely, observe all traffic laws and be courteous to all other drivers
• Deliver food and beverage orders
• Log time and expenses accurately
• Use POS system for orders and delivery information
• Maintain clean and safe delivery car
• Follow all restaurant rules and standards
• Provide excellent customer service to all guests
• Maintain quality of the food and beverage products being delivered
• Be comfortable with going to guest homes or businesses to deliver food
Additional Qualifications for Drivers:
• Licensed to drive for at least two (2) full years
• No more than two (2) minor moving violations, or, one at-fault accident and one (1)
minor moving violation within the last thirty-six (36) months
• No major violations within the past five (5) years, including but not limited to Driving
Under the Influence, Reckless Driving, or Hit & Run
• A copy of the candidate's state-issued driving record must be furnished within three (3)
days of your completed interview.
The document must be dated within the previous
twenty-one (21) days
• If the restaurant is not providing a delivery vehicle:
o Must have own reliable vehicle (no scooters, or motorcycles)
o Must have valid vehicle registration
o An active insurance policy for the delivery vehicle
Skills:
- Route driving experience, with a strong knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
- Commercial driving experience, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to operate a forklift or other material handling equipment for loading and unloading purposes
- Proficiency in manual transmission vehicles
- Experience driving box trucks or similar delivery vehicles
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including the use of pallet jacks and other equipment
- Ability to adapt to changing delivery schedules and prioritize tasks accordingly
