The Mountain Lake Chess Camp is the longest running chess teaching company in San Diego County.
Founded by legendary International Chess Master Larry Evans, it has been in operation for over 30 years.
We provide chess instruction to elementary school children all over San Diego County.
We are currently hiring teachers to finish the school year for our afterschool programs, especially around La Jolla, Solana Beach, Carmel Creek, Del Mar Heights, and Clairemont.
This is a great way to gain experience and build up your resume if you're considering a career in education! Requirements: 1) Must have reliable transportation to the class site which is usually located inside the school grounds or designated venue.
2) Love working with children at elementary school levels.
3) Know the basic rules of chess; BEGINNERS WELCOME! You do not have to be “good” at chess.
We will train you on the "Evans Method" of chess instruction.
This is a part-time job with flexible weekday schedules (usually mid-afternoons); we will try to schedule you at a school/class site that is close to where you work or live.
Chess classes last one hour.
Great job for students, and chess enthusiasts who need little extra money, with opportunities for salary increases.
