Looking for an organized and assertive adult caregiver to assist our 84 year old mother.
Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 1:00pm.
She lives in the house behind ours so we are often around.
We need someone to be consistent with her routines.
We would prefer candidates who reside no more than 20 minutes from Encinitas.
It is a non-smoking, no-vaping, drug & alcohol free environment.
This is very strict.
We will perform a background check before hiring.
Here are some of the tasks required:
- Manage medications
- Make/manage doctor appointments
- Communicate with us about scheduling
- Housekeeping (laundry, bed, vacuuming, dishes, garbage, etc.
)
- Walk, feed, and assist with dog
- Meal preparation/cooking
- Engage her, create and participate in projects, and assist with mental/physical stimulation
- Run errands and take her to Dr appointments (using her car)
- Experience with memory loss a plus
- Experience with SCAN and Medicare a big plus
