Job Description: Shift: First Shift Are you looking for a seasonal position that will make a difference in the life of a young girl? Do you enjoy organizing and coordinating schedules? Consider becoming Girl Scouts San Diego’s Bus Coordinator for our Summer Camp Season! The Bus Coordinator is responsible for scheduling bus transportation for girls attending our camp experiences.
This temporary position is 20-25 hours a week from April 1, 2024 - August 23, 2024 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES Coordinate mailings for pre-camp paperwork and reminders.
Coordinate schedules with Resident Camp Directors and Customer Service Representative to ensure families complete necessary forms prior to arrival at bus stop.
Coordinate with Resident Camp Directors to schedule staff and volunteers for bus stop.
Organize an efficient camper drop-off and pick-up at the bus stop location.
Set-up and tear down bus stop area with assistance of volunteers/camp staff.
Act as liaison for parents/guardians at bus stops.
Ensure concerns/information is relayed to necessary camp staff.
Troubleshoot problems as needed.
Experience and Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team setting with diverse persons Must have excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to interact with all ages.
Must be willing to work flexible schedule.
Valid drivers’ license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
Daily and/or occasional travel may be required.
Must have belief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting; be willing to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Promise and Law, and aware of the needs of girls in our pluralistic society.
