Overview:
Faith Chapel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselors.
As a Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children while creating memorable experiences in a fun and safe environment.
This is a paid position that requires a passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities and outings
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times
- Assist with behavior management and conflict resolution
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth and development
- Collaborate with other camp staff to create a cohesive team environment
Experience:
- Experience working with children in a camp, educational, or recreational setting
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Ability to educate and tutor campers in various subjects
- Familiarity with special education principles is a plus
- Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn about God
- First aid certification is desirable
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old for a lead counselor position.
Must be 16 years old to be a junior counselor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability
- Reliable and responsible
