Position Summary
The preschool/infant/toddler teacher will ensure that children are well cared for in all aspects of the Preschool activities and provide loving, Christ-centered care and instruction for young children.
The preschool/infant/toddler teacher will follow all Community Care Licensing title 22 regulations.
Essential Function
To know, explain, and exemplify the mission, purpose, and values of the Kroc Center.
To create a safe, engaging environment for Kroc Center associates, guests, members, volunteers, partners, and vendors.
To provide active support of and participation in all Kroc Center campaigns and initiatives.
To develop appropriate relationships and maintain appropriate relationship boundaries with other Kroc Center associates, guests, volunteers, partners, and vendors.
To communicate in an appropriate, professional, responsive, and supportive manner.
To maintain confidentiality.
Develop and implement optimum programs, including Christian education and chapels.
Demonstrate appropriate teaching skills, including planning, goal setting, assessments, curriculum planning, class schedules, and positive classroom management techniques.
Ensure safety of children at all times, including but not limited to: following safety measures, Protecting the Mission policies, sign in and out procedures
Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.
Ability to be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinets drawers and reach overhead.
Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone.
Minimum Qualifications
Compliance with current California Community Care Licensing Title 22 requirements.
Must have the ability to work with, direct, and relate well with coworkers, members, and guests.
Must be able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.
Active and cleared live scan fingerprints through California's Community Care Licensing.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Minimum 12 units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development required.
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Minimum six months of experience in early childhood education setting.
Ability to read, write, and communicate well in English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
