JOB DESCRIPTION
PRESCHOOL TEACHER
_*Job Purpose:*_
To provide high-quality early childhood education and care to children between the ages of zero and five years old and create a safe and nurturing learning environment where children can thrive and develop their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional skills.
_*Qualifications:*_
* Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field (preferred)
* Child Development Assistant or Associate Permit (preferred)
* Minimum of 12 completed ECE units completed (3 infant/toddler units are required)
* At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
* At least six months of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool
* CPR/First Aid Certified

_*Job Duties and Responsibilities:*_
* Plan and implement curriculum that focuses on early childhood development.
* Communicate with families and parents about their child's development.
* Monitor students’ academic progress and provide appropriate feedback to parents.
* Develop positive strategies to guide children's behavior.
* Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe.
* Be familiar with and follow all school policies and licensing rules.
_*Physical Requirements*_
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
approximately 100 times per day/shift.
Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, hearing, talking, and repetitive motion are physical requirements of the position.
*Pay:*
Pay range $42000-$55000.
Salary is determined based on experience and education.
