We are looking for an independent self-starter Legal Assistant to ensure effective assistance in the areas of Rhino corporate trademarks, governance, contracts, and business operational compliance.
You will provide a broad spectrum of administrative services under the guidance of an attorney and direct supervision of the corporate office Vice President & Chief Financial Officer.
Major responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
• Manages Rhino trademark and contractual compliance rules.
• Acts as liaison between attorney and executive management.
• Working with attorney to gather relevant information from a variety of sources, as needed.
• Conduct investigations and documentary research.
• Locate and develop case relevant information through online research.
• Monitor deadlines and juggle case calendars, as needed.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree or Legal Assistant certification/diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years’ legal assistance or paralegal hands on work experience.
• Familiarity with trademark laws, legal procedures and protocols, and court system.
• Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
• Research ability and resourcefulness, sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates proficiency with technology, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Dropbox, and Social Media.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team setting with diverse people.
• Pleasant, positive, and confident presentation of self and organization.
• High level of skill in written English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation with an eye for formatting documents/emails.
