Manufacturing Documentation Specialist (Rancho Bernardo)

Global provider of mass notification and communication solutions seeks a Manufacturing Documentation Specialist to join their team.
The Manufacturing Documentation Specialist primary responsibilities are the review of assigned manufacturing documentation and driving the subsequent corrections needed, which includes the creation and update of procedures and work instructions for production.
Responsibilities include: • Writes procedures and instructions with appropriate details that are easily understood for operators.
• Works with Manufacturing personnel, and other cross-functional team to gather information to document revisions, new builds, improve processes, etc.
• Manages simple issues found during the review of documentation, including identification of documentation errors and completeness.
• Edits and formats incoming requests for new or revised documents and assists in tracking each revision through the approval workflow.
• Responsible for escalations to Supervisors of the team for complex issues that arise during builds to gain the information required to make the appropriate decisions.
Qualifications/Skills: • High school diploma/GED equivalent • Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes • Experience with industry leading PLM systems (Agile) preferred Technical Requirements: This position is required to read and understand technical drawings and documents.
Experience writing, proofreading, and editing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment.
Must have good interpersonal communication skills, be a strong team player and the ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
