Friendship Manor, a Generations Healthcare facility, is in search of a Dietary Aide to join our team.
Job Description:
The primary role of the Dietary Aide is to provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination will be required for all facility employees as of September 30, 2021 (requests for accommodation due to disability or religious belief will be reviewed).
Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc.
, and submit to the Director of Food Services.
Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary.
Work with the facility’s dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
Ensure that all food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus.
Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
Prepare food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menus.
Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders.
Prepare meals according to resident food preferences and special dietary requirement.
Assist in the production of all menu items.
Demonstrate safe food handling procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of work and storage areas.
Supervise dietary staff in the absence of Dietary Supervisor

Qualifications:
Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Must be knowledgeable of food procedures.
